Fraud Alerts
The following alerts have been brought to the attention of Mission Community Bank staff. There may be other fraudulent attempts we have not been made aware of.
E-mails
October 4th, and 14th-17th, 2005 - A fraudulent email claiming to be from Mission Community Bank has been circulating on the internet. This email indicates security is a top priority of the bank and that you have had multiple password failures on your e-banking accounts from multiple computers. It asks you to complete information to verify your account and sets an expiration date several days in the future threatening to suspend or erase your account. Example of Email
August 29, 2005 - A fraudulent email claiming to be from Mission Community Bank has been circulating on the internet. This email requests that personal account information be entered on a secondary website. Example of Email
